Certificate Course on
IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software
Keeping in line with Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, the NIOS has signed
an MOU with CISCO to offer an on-line course titled “IT Essentials: PC Hardware
and Software”. The CISCO is a reputed international organization in the field
of Information Technology (for details see the website of CISCO: www.cisco.com/asiapac/academy).
The certificate course is planned to be offered on a pilot basis in a limited
number of AVIs in the first phase.
This is an on-line Certificate course of six months duration. The course requires
30 hours of Practical training. Theoretical inputs will be on-line as well as
through Self Instructional Material. Existing Accredited Vocational Institution
(AVIs) running computer and IT courses of NIOS may send their consent to Director
Vocational Education (email: dirvoc@nios.ac.in and advoci@nios.ac.in)
