Orientation Programme for Coordinators of AIs and AVIs
The NIOS, Regional Centre, Chandigarh is organizing one day Orientation Programme for the Coordinators of AIs and AVIs .
Venue of the programme is : Auditorium, Punjab School Education Board, Vidya Bhawan, Phase-8, Mohali - 160059 (Pb.)
The date is August 04, 2004
Time will be 9:30 AM onwards
The objective of the programme is to acquaint the Coordinators with the new developments in the NIOS in all the departments. Apart from this the programme will also provide an opportunity to the Coordinators to meet and have a dialogue with the new Chairman, Sh. M. C. Pant. Incidentally, it will also be an opportunity to meet the new Regional Director, Dr. Rajesh Kumar.
Individual invitations are being dispatched to the participants.

Dear Coordinator
1. The NIOS admissions
are beginning from July 26th this year for 2004-05 Session. The admissions will
be on till 25th August, 2004 without late fee and then till 06th September,
2004 with late fee.
There have been a lot of growth and development in NIOS since the time we met
for the last Coordinator’s meeting in January, 2004 and there would be many
issues and queries which you would like to share. For this purpose we are organizing
one day Orientation Programme as per the following:
Venue: Auditorium, Punjab School Education Board, Vidya Bhawan, Phase-8, Mohali-160059.
(This place is about 10 kms from Chandigarh Bus Stand and normally auto rickshaw
charges Rs.40/- for it. It is also well connected by city buses).

Time: Starting from 9.30 a.m.
Apart from discussing issues on various subjects, this programme would provide
you an opportunity to meet our new Chairman, Shri M. C. Pant. Incidentally,
this will give me an opportunity to meet you after I have taken over as the
Regional Director.
The TA/DA would be paid as per the NIOS norms. If you travel by the rail or bus then the actual fare will be reimbursed. Taxi fare is not admissible.

I am sure you will find this programme important and would participate. In case
you cannot attend the progrmme then you may send a senior colleague with your
authority letter.
2. You are requested to kindly submit your requirement for prospectus for the
forthcoming session 2004-05. Please note that in the absence of this information
we shall not be able to provide you prospectus in requisite quantity.
3. We have earlier sent you a letter for submitting your requirement for the learning material for the forthcoming session. However, we have not received anything from you on this issue so far. We are once again enclosing a copy of the proforma sent to you earlier for this purpose. You are requested to please fill in the same and send this information to us at the earliest preferably by fax.
4. You are also requested to kindly submit your requirement for study material for the forthcoming session.
